Research and Innovation Actions: how Engreen contributes to European innovation through applied energy solutions

During Key Energy, Engreen hosted a series of talks at its booth to present the European projects we are currently involved in. Fourteen initiatives funded under Horizon Europe and LIFE programmes offered the opportunity to highlight a key point: research and innovation only become meaningful when they translate into solutions that work in real environments.

At Engreen, we do not approach European programmes as early-stage research actions alone. For us, they are opportunities to test, implement and scale new energy solutions in real contexts, working directly with territories, businesses and communities.

This approach reflects our broader operational model, where strategy, engineering, financing, stakeholder engagement and implementation are integrated to bring innovation closer to real-world energy systems.

Across these projects, Engreen plays a recurring role: connecting research and innovation actions with demonstration in real environments. We contribute to developing technologies and business models, but also to testing them through Renewable Energy Communities, industrial pilots and territorial demonstrations, ensuring strong territorial engagement throughout the process.

From hydrogen-enabled energy communities to AI-driven energy systems, from cooperative renewable models for industry to digital platforms for photovoltaic lifecycle management, these projects share a common objective: building the conditions for the next generation of energy systems.

Below is an overview of the initiatives presented at Key Energy and Engreen’s role within each of them.
