Engreen Africa was established as a regional hub for innovation, collaboration, and execution in sustainable energy. With a strong presence on the ground, we combine local engagement with international technical and strategic expertise.
Our mission is to support a just and inclusive energy transition — one that strengthens resilience, accelerates low-carbon development, and delivers tangible benefits to people, communities, and economies across Africa.
Our work spans technical assistance, thought leadership, applied research, and capacity building in Energy Access and Renewable Energy. We provide governments, development partners, and private actors with solutions that are both technically sound and socially inclusive.
From shaping strategies and piloting new models, to training local stakeholders and amplifying regional best practices, Engreen Africa is committed to advancing knowledge, building skills, and turning sustainable energy into measurable impact.
Technical assistance in energy access and renewable energy
Engreen Africa provides services in strategic advisory, design, implementation and operation of off-grid and grid-connected renewable energy systems. From site assessment, market analysis, to support in the EPC and O&M phase we provide our partners with cutting-edge technical expertise and over 15 years of field experience in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Engreen has finalized over 70 international consulting projects, carried out feasibility assessments in 115 villages working with private and public clients.
Accessing research and grant opportunities
Engreen Africa actively participates in EU-funded programs and global grant mechanisms. EnGreen currently has 11 active EU-funded projects for a total of €2.6 under management and a total €38million of project value on topics ranging from renewable energy to agro-PV, Digitalisation & AI applied to energy, and Productive Uses of Energy (PUE).
In Senegal, we collaborate with national renewable energy agencies and local universities in EU-funded research projects on green energy and clean tech.
