Intermittent renewable generation, limited storage options, and increasing pressure on local grids make it difficult to fully unlock their potential. Hydrogen introduces a new layer of flexibility, enabling energy to be stored over longer periods, redistributed across sectors, and used when and where it is most needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What the project does<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>H2SCORE develops and validates a \u201chydrogen-ready\u201d Renewable Energy Community model. Through real-world demonstration, the project integrates hydrogen production (via electrolysis), storage, and use within a local energy system. It connects different energy vectors\u2014electricity, heat, and mobility\u2014while testing operational strategies, governance models, and economic feasibility in real conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Expected impact<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The project will demonstrate how hydrogen can enhance the performance and resilience of energy communities. Expected outcomes include improved energy balancing, increased self-consumption rates, reduced grid dependency, and new business models for local stakeholders.
