Currently, EnGreen is participating in <strong>5 Horizon Europe initiatives<\/strong>, being also active in other EU programs such as <strong>LIFE<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.interregeurope.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>INTERREG<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/prima-med.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>PRIMA<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The distinctive strength of <strong>EnGreen<\/strong> lies in its ability to <strong>integrate academic insights with practical field experience<\/strong>. This synergy positions EnGreen as a standout contributor in the sector, capable of managing projects from conception to execution seamlessly.<\/p>\n<p>EnGreen\u2019s focuses in <strong>R&amp;I<\/strong> sector are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Renewable energy technologies<\/li>\n<li>Decarbonization and sustainable energy<\/li>\n<li>Renewable Energy Communities<\/li>\n<li>Rural electrification and energy access<\/li>\n<li>Water-Energy-Food Nexus<\/li>\n<li>Climate change<\/li>\n<li>Long term cooperation among EU and AU<\/li>\n<li>Agro business and business models<\/li>\n<li>Stakeholder engagement and co-creation activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Some information about the projects we are part of:<\/p>\n<h3><strong>OptiMG &#8211; Optimizing integrated mini grids for water-energy-food<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a title=\"OptiMG \u2013 Optimizing integrated mini grids for water-energy-food (LEAP-RE programme, 2023-2025)\" href=\"https:\/\/engreen.world\/en\/optimg-optimizing-integrated-mini-grids-water-energy-food\/\"><strong>OptiMG<\/strong> <\/a>is an initiative funded under the LEAP-RE H2020 project (GA n. 963530) which is looking at the<strong> creation of synergies among African and European continents<\/strong> with the intention of <strong>promoting Sustainable Development Goals<\/strong> and <strong>universal energy access<\/strong>. The main objective of OptiMG is to <strong>promote the use of decentralized renewable energy solutions for enhancing sustainable development<\/strong> and increasing awareness around Water-Energy-Food Nexus. Moreover, OptiMG wants <strong>to bring mini-grid concept to a next level<\/strong>, facilitating demand assessment and mini grid design optimization processes for encouraging the diffusion of WEF based mini grid.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>EMERGE &#8211; Energy System Modelling for Green Development of Africa<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The <a title=\"EMERGE \u2013 ENERGY SYSTEM MODELLING FOR GREEN DEVELOPMENT OF AFRICA (Horizone Europe, 2023-2026)\" href=\"https:\/\/engreen.world\/en\/emerge-energy-system-modelling-green-development-africa\/\"><strong>EMERGE<\/strong><\/a> project (GA n. 101118278) seeks to provide African policy makers, academics, investors, and citizens with the tools and knowledge required <strong>to increase the production of clean energy<\/strong> and the sustainable use of resources by empowering WEF Nexus initiative. EMERGE will co-design and test a Toolbox by integrating and building upon existing tools, methodologies, and approaches.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>HarvRESt &#8211; Harnessing the vast potential of RES for sustainable farming<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The main objective of <a title=\"HarvRESt \u2013 Harnessing the vast potential of RES for sustainable farming (Horizon Europe, 2024-2027)\" href=\"https:\/\/engreen.world\/en\/harvrest-sustainable-farming\/\"><strong>HarvRESt<\/strong><\/a> (GA n. 101136904) is <strong>to improve the existing knowledge on alternatives for farms decarbonisation<\/strong>, <strong>maximising synergies between RES installations and sustainable agricultural practices<\/strong>.
