Duties and responsibilities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Energy Project Manager will report to the COO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\/she will work in the following type of projects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Research energy projects (e.g. Horizon Europe)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Renewable energy projects in Developing Countries (advisory\/consultancy and execution)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Renewable energy projects in Italy (feasibility study, business development and execution)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Renewable Energy Communities (REC) in Italy (community engagement, prosumers\/consumers<\/p>\n\n\n\n

aggregation)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\/she will have the following main duties and responsibilities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Defining methods and tools for execution of consultancy assignments and projects in the energy sector<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Managing staff and overseeing the day-to-day activities of consultancy assignments and projects in the<\/p>\n\n\n\n

energy sector<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Managing external consultants, monitoring progress on deliverables under those contracts and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

coordination of their work with the overall project implementation plan<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Carrying out high-level tasks related to consultancy assignments and projects he\/she is managing<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Undertaking communication with clients and partners<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Preparing progress and final reports<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Supporting the COO in annual work plans and budgets<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Supporting proposal and tender writing<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Essential skills and qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

– Advanced degree (Msc\/MA) in Engineering\/ Environmental Studies\/ Energy Finance<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– At least 5 years of experience in project management<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– At least 5 years of experience in renewable energy sector<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Knowledge and understanding of the international development and cooperation context<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Previous experience in developing countries<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Language requirement: fluency in English + work proficiency in Italian<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Demonstrated ability in team management and collaboration<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Positive attitude to teamwork and strong motivation to lead high impactful work<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Desirable skills<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

– Experience in off-grid systems<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Experience in design and site management of solar-PV projects<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Experience with key business development\/project design tools (offers, theory of change, logical framework, etc.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Experience in both profit and non-profit sector<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Additional language requirement: French or Portuguese<\/p>\n\n\n\n
